Healing the way God intends it!

Christian Counseling is a Holy Spirit led process which incorporates Biblical truth, with psychological processes that do not conflict with a Biblical World View, in order to lead an individual or couple into lasting healing and by creating a discovery of their individual core pain, coping mechanisms, and strategies that result in a failure to live a victorious life in Christ.  Once the root causes of the relational, emotional, and spiritual pain is discovered the Holy Spirit can begin the process of deep change of repentance and healing into a persons or couples life.  Nothing else is more profound or moving than the miracle of God working in a person’s heart and transforming them daily into the image and likeness of His son Jesus.

Christian counseling is not for everyone.   While a person need not necessarily be a believer in Jesus, at the outset of counseling,  at the very least they must believe they have come to the place where they need God (as they understand Him) to intervene in their lives.  They must be willing to be open to the process of God intervening in their lives,  and be willing to explore the grace that saves through the atoning death of His Son Jesus, and come to a point where they are willing to allow His spirit to work and regenerate their heart.  Christian counseling, deals completely with matters of the heart and sin, therefore clients must be willing to enter into these matters in a deep and profound way.

Christian counseling is not recommended for psychological illness that is biological and purely medical in nature, unless it is a part of the healing process along with pharmacology, and while a person is under the supervision of a medical doctor.

While the counselor does have the needed Masters level credentials in Christian counseling, and we are fully insured as a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the counseling at Living Water Life Coaching is not licensed, does not accept insurance and does not follow the normal assessment and case conceptualization process of mainstream secular counseling.
